apani rusavaye tere naam ka charcha dekhon
ek zara sher kahon aur main kya kya dekhon

neend aa jaye to kya mehfilen barpa dekhon
ankh khul jaye to tanhayei ka sahara dekhon

shaam bhi hogaye dhundhala gaye ankhen bhi meri
bhulne wale main kab tak tera rasta dekhon

sab ziden us ki main poori karon har baat sunon
ek bachche ki tarah se use hansta dekhon

mujh pe chha jaye wo barsat ki khushbo ki tarah
ang ang apana usi rut mien mehakta dekhon

tu meri tarah se yakta hai magar mere habib
ji mien aata hai koi aur bhi tujh saa dekhon

main ne jis lamhe ko puja hai use bas ek baar
khuwab ban kar teri ankhon mien utarta dekhon

tu mera kuchh nahin lagata hai magar jaan-e-hayaat
jaane kyon tere liye dil ko dharakta dekhon
